The Binghamton Sports Medicine and Joint Replacement Center is a part of Orthopedic Associates. Sports medicine is an approach to patient care that strives to return the patient to the highest level of activity or sports possible after an acute or chronic injury. Our mission is to provide state of the art care of all injuries and arthritis using this attitude. We strive to see all injured people within 24 hours of calling for acute injuries. Our physicians and physicians assistants will inform you of all your options for care both nonsurgical and surgical. We perform state of the art surgery to restore function. In the area of sports medicine this includes arthroscopic (minimally invasive) surgery to repair injuries to the joints, especially ligament reconstructions, shoulder and rotator cuff injuries, and cartilage injuries of all joints. In arthritis surgery we perform surgery replacing the joint with all available types of replacements, including ceramic hip replacements.
