Appointments can be made by calling our
office at 607-723-5393, Canceling Appointments:If you have an appointment you are unable to keep, please notify our offices 24 hours in advance. Emergencies:A doctor is always on call during the evening and weekend hours. Please limit calls during these hours to emergencies only. Should an emergency develop, please call 723-5393. The answering service will contact the physician on call. He will return your call as soon as possible. In case of a severe emergency, please go to the hospital emergency room of your choice and our physician on call will be notified. Telephone Calls:The telephone is a vital link with our patients. Patients are encouraged to contact our office with any questions or concerns they may have concerning their treatment. The doctor's assistant will be happy to help you and check with the doctor about your concerns. If you need to speak with the doctor directly, a message will be taken and he will return your call as soon as possible. In all cases emergency calls will be handled promptly. We respectfully request that you limit routine calls about medication, surgeries, appointments, insurance and fees to our regular business hours. Prescriptions and Refills:Prescriptions and Refills are issued only during regular office hours. The doctor on call frequently is not aware of which medication is being prescribed for you by his associate without having access to your medical file. Fees and Payments:The fees charged in our office are customary for our locality and specialty. We appreciate and encourage payment for services at the time of your visit. Patients are encouraged to discuss elective surgery fees or any other questions about coverage with their insurance carrier. We participate with multiple managed health care plans and insurance carriers. In order to process your claim correctly, we ask that you bring all insurance information with you on your first visit or whenever there is a change in your insurance coverage. Frequently, insurance policies do not cover "everything" or "100%". There are often limitations and exclusions to coverage. If you have any questions concerning your coverage, please contact your insurance carrier. Workers Compensation:When you are being treated for a work related injury or problem, please be prepared to provide us with your date of accident, employer and insurance carrier name and address at the time of your first visit. Insurance Forms:As a courtesy to our patients, we will complete disability forms. We ask that you allow 5 to 7 working days for completion.
